How do you ship vinyl records safely?
We take vinyl protection seriously! Each record is carefully wrapped in acid-free paper and placed in a sturdy cardboard mailer with protective padding. We use corner protectors and bubble wrap to prevent seam splits and warping. All shipments are tracked, and we recommend signature confirmation for orders over $100. Records are always shipped flat, never rolled, to maintain their integrity.
What do vinyl condition grades mean?
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition. Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling. Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows some signs of play but minimal surface noise. Very Good (VG): Noticeable wear with light surface noise. Good Plus (G+): Significant wear but still playable. Good (G): Heavy wear with audible surface noise. Fair (F): Very worn but still plays. Poor (P): Heavily damaged. We grade both the vinyl and the cover separately, so you'll see two grades listed (e.g., VG+/VG).
What is your return and exchange policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange any record. Items must be in resaleable condition (unplayed or in the same condition as received). Opened records can be returned if they have manufacturing defects. Damaged items due to shipping are fully covered—just contact us with photos. Return shipping is free for defective items; standard returns are the customer's responsibility. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of receiving your return.
How should I care for my vinyl records?
Proper care extends your records' lifespan! Store records vertically (never stacked flat) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep them in their sleeves and use inner sleeves to protect from dust. Clean records regularly with a soft brush or microfiber cloth before playing. Invest in a quality turntable with proper tracking force and a clean stylus. Avoid touching the playing surface with your fingers. Store at 65-70°F with 40-50% humidity for optimal preservation. Handle records by the edges and center label only.
What's the difference between new and used vinyl?
New records are factory-sealed or unplayed, typically in Mint or Near Mint condition. They come with original shrink wrap and are guaranteed to have no manufacturing defects. Used records have been previously owned and played, so they show varying degrees of wear. Used records offer great value and character—many collectors prefer the warmth of vintage pressings. All our used records are carefully inspected and graded honestly. We clearly disclose any defects, skips, or surface noise. Both new and used records can sound fantastic when properly cared for!
